FAQ
Questions we hear a lot.
If yours isn’t here, drop us a line — we’re a small team and we reply properly.
Can I create a website myself without coding?
Yes. PromptSite is self-service: you register, complete the brief and choose a domain. We build and host the site — you do not edit HTML or install plugins. Updates are requested in chat.
Is this an AI website builder?
It is AI-assisted managed hosting. You brief us like a human; AI helps us build and apply updates quickly. It is not a drag-and-drop template library you have to learn.
What’s in the £18 a month?
The website, hosting, email, and 25 updates a month by chat. Your domain is included for standard UK names on the intro offer, or bundled on the £18 first-month option for .com and similar — see checkout. Extra updates are £6 for ten.
Is it WordPress?
No. We host and change the site for you — there’s no theme or plugin list to manage.
How do I pay?
Card in the client area when you finish the brief, then the same date each month.
What’s an update?
One message in the client area describing a change. We edit the live site in real time — new page, new copy, layout tweak, and so on.
How fast are changes?
Most requests go live in real time while you’re in the client area — no waiting days for a developer. We call it a web developer in your pocket.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes. Transfer it during signup and we point it at your PromptSite hosting.
What is Instant Preview?
Every site gets a private preview.promptsite.co.uk address after checkout. Use it to view and share the new design before your main domain goes live — from the Live preview panel in your client area.
Do I get email?
Yes — addresses on your domain, set up next to the website.
Can I cancel?
Any time from billing. Email hello@promptsite.co.uk if you want help moving elsewhere.
Who is it for?
Small businesses and freelancers who want a proper site without running WordPress — and agencies who resell via our wholesale hub.
Where is it hosted?
In the UK, with HTTPS from day one. You use the client area, not cPanel.
I’m an agency — can I resell?
Yes. Sign up as a reseller for wholesale pricing and a hub to manage client sites.
